With Mother’s Day just around the corner (Sunday 10th March), you might be looking at last minute ideas for how to spoil the mother figures in your life.
Or maybe you’re a mum and you want to drop some hints to the kids for what you’d really like – there’s only so many ‘Best Mum’ mugs you can fit in the cupboard!
Whether she that’s a spot of pampering or a night off from cooking, we’ve got the mother of all gifts with our fabulous commercial services here at RNN Group.
An invitation to relax
Ask most mums and what they’d really like for Mother’s Day is some ‘me time’. But if your budget doesn’t quite stretch to a spa day, then we’ve got the perfect solution to help you gift some time out.
Our hair and beauty salons here at RNN Group offer a range of treatments at feel-good prices. For just £10, mums, nans, step-mums or care givers could be treated to a lash lift, full set of nail extensions, cut and blow dry, or Indian head massage.
Looking to spend a bit less? Our talented hair and beauty students can do a luxury manicure for £8, an express Dermalogica facial for £6, or a Swedish back massage for £6.
You could book them in for a surprise appointment during the week, throughout term time.
Or did you know that our salons also offer gift vouchers? They’re a fail-safe way to put a smile on mum’s face on Mother’s Day morning – you choose how much to spend and she can choose what treatment she’d like.
Find out more about our salons, their individual price lists, and how to get in touch to book an appointment or collect a gift voucher.
Food with thought
She might have smiled through years of those burnt toast and spilt orange juice breakfasts in bed when you were a child. But you can redeem yourself with a trip to The Wharncliffe Restaurant at Rotherham College.
Treat her to a five-star experience of fine dining for cheap as chips prices. Because, let’s be honest, what she wants more than anything is time shared with you.
The Wharncliffe is a special place where all of the dishes are thoughtfully designed, lovingly made and expertly served by our catering and hospitality students.
The restaurant is open for lunch Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with a three-course menu for £12.95. Or you could choose a main course for £6.95, with starters and desserts prices at £4.50.
March’s lunch menu includes dishes like beer battered fish with hand cut chips, wild mushroom and squash wellington, and grilled teriyaki chicken skewers with kale, pomegranate and orange salad for starters.
There is also an early evening service on Wednesdays and Thursdays, where dishes are elevated with more of a haute cuisine feel. The evening three course menu is £19.50, with mains for £10.50 and starters and desserts for £5.95.
March’s evening menu has dishes like braised beef cheek with horseradish mash, roast Salmon on a bed of stir- fried vegetables and noodles with an Asian broth, or homemade fishcakes with a roasted red pepper & tomato sauce for starters.
